Kagaz Books has traded from the same building since 1998. We stock school and university texts, fiction, children's books and Nepali titles, and we supply libraries and schools across the valley. Special orders take three to five working days.

Gift wrapping
Plain paper and ribbon at the counter, Rs. 50. We will write the card for you.

The shop
We began as a stationery counter on Putalisadak in 1998 and added books the following year, when the school around the corner asked us to hold their reading lists. The shelves have been the same shape ever since: academic on the left, general stock through the middle, children's at the back.
Two of us work the floor. If a title is not on the shelf, ask. Most things are still in print, and we would rather order it than send you to another shop.
